PGC Range, 751 Summers Dr, Ridgeville, South Carolina, 29473, United States.

Attention Rifle Shooters,

PGC Long Range shooters will host a Intro to F-class & Prone Shooting Clinic. This is an introduction to NRA High Power F-class, Long-Range (800-1000yards) and Mid-Range (300-600yards) Shooting Disciplines. NRA High Power Rifle Rules Section 22.
F-Class shooting is the fastest growing form of target shooting that presents a challenge to even the best and most experienced hunter. It is an opportunity for individuals that want more than casual target shooting and plinking in the off-season to hone their shooting skills.  This type of shooting stresses skill, knowledge adn practice over physical strength or abilities.  Women, men, childrena nd the disabled can compete on a level field.

F-Class Open competition allows any rifle up to 22 lbs (10kg), firing bullets from .223 to .308 diameters. Hence, you have a wide choice of calibers, from the .223 Rem. to the .300 Win. Mag. Target ranges are the same, 300 to 1,000 yards and you can use a front and rear rest, as well as the telescopic sight of your choice. These last options are what appealed to me, and probably most of the readers here.

In addition to the F-Class Open, there is F-Class/Target Rifle (F/TR) category, which is restricted to .223 Rem. and .308 Win. In this competition, shooting is off a bipod with a rifle no heavier than 18.18 pounds.

We will have several experienced long range shooters and their equipment available during the clinic to effectively explain & demonstrate the basics of shooting and competing at 300+ yards.
Bring with you; water, eye and ear protection, optionally a rifle, ammo, rest, shooting mat etc. You don't have to bring a gun, don't buy anything special for this session. If you choose to bring your own gun we will be happy to evaluate any mechanical issues that could limit success. Leave guns cased, unloaded, in your vehicle until instructed to bring them to the line.
